I’m a person who believes that travel and life experience are vital. If you ask 100 people what they wish they had done more of in life, I guarantee the majority would say travel. That is my mission: to open the world up and convince more people that long-term travel is not just for 18-year-olds on a gap year, and most importantly, it is never too late to quit your job and live your life!

About me

From 2019–2023, I worked for the emergency services in my home country, the United Kingdom. On the face of it, I had everything: a well-paid job I enjoyed, amazing friends and an incredible family life. However, I felt like something was missing as I approached being 30 years old. I thought at the time that this was being a homeowner, so I pursued it. As I was about to sign the mortgage, however, I realised this wasn’t it.

At the same time I was having my quarter-life crisis, a good friend who had been living and working in China was in a similar situation. We made a very rushed decision to quit our jobs and book a flight to Rio De Janeiro for Carnival. Three months later, we flew out with our savings and no plan. We spent nearly 6 months in South America, from the far southern tip of Argentina to the far north of Colombia and it changed my perspective on life.

Since returning to the UK, I have a new outlook and new priorities. I want to share my experience with you and push you to do the same.
